Bob has 35 years experience in the dairy industry having worked for Fonterra for 20 years primarily in the IT sector but also bridging the gap between IT, automation and control. He was responsible for many key applications – transport scheduling, mass balancing, OEE MOM, financial modelling of plants, production scheduling and planning, and product analysis and grading applications. Bob has been Managing Director of CTEK since its formation in September 2004 – growing the business towards $15M turnover.
Max is an executive industry leader within the global dairy industry with 37 years’ experience in Fonterra from graduate to reporting direct to the CEO. He was formally CEO of an independent dairy company and has been a member of all senior industry committees in New Zealand whose activities culminated in the formation of Fonterra.
He was Global Manufacturing & Milk Supply Director on formation of Fonterra.
Max became Director of International Manufacturing for Fonterra responsible for formation of joint ventures in five continents.
Max is currently an active Board member on a variety of food based companies.
He has experience with a series of mergers culminating in leading the Fonterra merger of many distinct manufacturing and milk supply cultures, meeting all targets and goals in year one.
Steve is an engineer with substantial commercial acumen and vision around strategies for business growth, working initially in research and development followed by 20 years in the private sector leading teams in engineering and technology companies. The last 10 years have included leading the management buyout of AWT, growing the business four fold and then leading the acquisition negotiations for the sale of AWT to Mott MacDonald Group.
He has a proven track record with developing and directing business activities of an SME increasing both turn over and profitability on either side of the Tasman. Leading the growth of AWT into the water technology space including the development of new markets and innovative cloud based software to deliver technical services.
Steve is a respected player within the New Zealand Water industry at a national level and in Australia through a number of governance/leadership positions in the sector.
Group Manager Projects
Martin has experience in managing and developing control systems and their components for automotive and industrial designs from the initial specification, conceptual design stage, detailed design, through to FAT and commissioning.
He has worked for a variety of multi discipline engineering projects. His experience encompasses electronic hardware and software design for embedded systems as well as major PLC and SCADA platforms. He has expert knowledge in managing design flows to achieve high quality complying with international standards for quality and safety (ISO9000, TS16949, CMMI, IEC61508).
Martin has over 18 years’ experience working in Automotive, Fertilizer and Dairy Industries. This gives him the ability to design and build control systems which fit customer and regulatory requirements across a range of platforms and standards.
Group Manager Services
Jason manages a team of senior and highly skilled automation engineers. The team represent a very high level of automation knowledge and are actively involved with plant maintenance and improvement works throughout New Zealand.
He has previously worked as a Senior Systems Control and Automation Engineer and an Electrical Engineer and has experience in project management, PLC software writing, SCADA and HMI development and team developing.
Jason is a qualified Electrician with an HNC in Electrical Engineering and an Honours Degree in Engineering with Business.
He has managed a number of large projects with multidisciplinary teams, worked in many industries including food & beverage and pharmaceuticals using industry standards for design and implementation (eg: Gamp).
Nigel has 20 years’ experience as a professional manager across manufacturing and engineering sectors in New Zealand and South East Asia. He brings a skill set which includes business development, marketing, project management, human resource management, financial management, strategic planning, HSE and quality management.
He has been involved in the management of a large number of international and local projects from large scale construction projects to automated machinery design, development, manufacture, installation and commissioning.
He has a proven ability to empower and motivate high performing, multi-national teams to achieve customer and stakeholder expectations.
Nigel has a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (Engineering and Automation) from Massey University and is an Icehouse Leadership Development Programme Alumni.
Special Projects Manager
Colin has 47 years’ experience working in the Dairy industry. 12 years as an operator/ supervisor, 6 years Regulatory Compliance Officer, 15 years Plant & Operational Management and 14 years as a Process Improvement Consultant. Colin has worked in Australia, Singapore and China.
He has extensive experience in business and quality system development and implementation. He has gained in-depth experience in the manufacture of a wide range of products from milk and milk derivatives.
Colin has excellent relationship building and people development skills that ensure continuous business improvement and succession planning.
Sales and Marketing Manager
Deepak brings more than 20 years’ experience working in various technical and sales roles. A greater part of his career involves working for global leaders in the industrial water treatment segment where he was responsible for driving strategy and growth initiatives. He brings with him managerial experience in Dairy, Food & Beverage, and manufacturing sectors including strategic planning, marketing communications and developing excellent relationships with corporate customers across NZ and Australia.
Deepak holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mangalore and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Waikato.
Nicola has been the Finance Manager for CTEK since its inception. Nicola has developed internal financial reporting systems and controls which have met stringent audit certification processes for CSIA. She has managed the migration of our internal office applications, ongoing upgrades and interfaces between these applications. Nicola prepares monthly accounts and financial reporting to the Board.
