As part of their expansion plan Tatua Dairy installed a complete new Tetrapak Evaporator/Dryer, with new CIP-able powder handling technology. Due to the diverse range of Tatua products, two powder handling lines were installed; one CIP-able and one ‘Dry’ powder line.
CTEK was contracted by Tetrapak to complete automation works for the new Tatua D3 Dryer.
CTEK performed all coding/simulation/FAT of FDs provided by Tetrapak. New Schneider M580 hardware was used. This new hardware was successfully integrated to existing platforms, including third party hardware used for plant ancillary controls. PLC software was developed to a modified site standard to meet Tetrapak requirements.
