Tauranga City Council was looking for a partner to integrate control systems for their Waiāri Water Supply Scheme, a new state-of-the-art water treatment facility for Tauranga. The scheme involved to develop the Waiāri Water Supply, comprising a water abstraction facility on Waiāri Stream, a treatment plant in No.1 Road, Te Puke, and an underground pipeline to Papamoa.
CTEK was engaged by Tauranga City Council for System Integration Support, encompassing tasks like collaborative development of PLC and SCADA standards for Waiari WTP, network configuration.
CTEK carried out the review for Waiari WTP and Raw Water Intake, control system configuration for Waiari WTP and Raw Water Intake, PLC and SCADA configuration for Raw Water Pump station and Balance of Plant, as well as integration of PLC code and SCADA configuration for the Microfiltration Plant. The scope also involved providing support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and the plant trial period, along with comprehensive training sessions.
Further to that our current work is specific to integration support and to work collaboratively with the TCC team to finalise a set of SCADA standards to control and monitor the new plant. New System Platform 2020 standards is being developed through a series of workshops during the Waiari wtp project. The standards development program focused on modular object-based configuration to develop the final set of standards for incorporation into the plant and process area overview, critical control points overview, alarm summary and banner presentations etc. to name a few.
